General questions
Self-storage at ParaBox allows you to rent a secure storage space for a flexible duration. It’s an ideal solution for temporarily storing your belongings during a move, renovation, or when you need to free up space at home.
Our first location is situated on Rue des Quatre-Saisons (car access) and Rue du Cercle 2 (pedestrian access), just a few steps from the Cornavin CFF train station. Additional locations will be opening soon in French-speaking Switzerland.
It’s simple! Select the size of the unit that fits your needs, reserve it online or contact our team. Once your unit is booked, you can access your storage space 7 days a week using your personal access code.

Size & Volume
We offer a variety of sizes, from small spaces (1m²) to larger units (up to 25m²). If you’re unsure which size to choose, use our online space calculator or ask our team for advice.
Yes, you can change the size of your unit at any time, subject to availability. We will do our best to offer a solution that suits your new requirements.
ParaBox does not directly provide moving services, but we can connect you with trusted local partners to help transport your belongings to and from our facilities.
Costs & Payment
The cost of renting depends on the size of the unit and the rental duration. We offer a range of sizes to suit your needs, from small spaces of 1 m² to larger units up to 25 m². You can get an instant quote online or contact our team for a personalized estimate.
ParaBox accepts multiple payment methods to suit your preferences: credit card, bank transfer, and direct debit. You can choose to pay monthly or in one lump sum for the entire rental period.
The minimum rental period at ParaBox is one month. You can extend your rental as often as needed, with no long-term commitment.
ParaBox offers discounts based on the contract duration. To take advantage of them, please contact us.
The first payment must be made when you reserve your unit, covering the first month of rental. After that, payments are due each month on the anniversary of your rental start date.
If you vacate your unit before the end of the rental period, we do not offer refunds for unused days. However, you are not obligated to extend the rental for the following month.
Booking & Contract
Before you can access your ParaBox storage unit, here are the steps to follow:
- Reservation: You can reserve your storage space online or by contacting our team. It’s important to choose the size that fits your needs.
- Contract: You will need to sign a rental contract. This can be done electronically or in person at our offices.
- Payment: The first payment, covering the first month of rental, must be made to confirm the reservation.
- Insurance: Insurance is mandatory for all contracts. Please refer to the Insurance section below.
- Access Code: Once the formalities are completed, you’ll receive a text message with your personal code to download the app and access the facility and your unit 7 days a week.
During the online booking process, you will be asked to hold your ID or driver’s license in front of your smartphone camera. Once your identity is successfully verified, the booking process will be completed. Shortly after, you will receive a personal access code via SMS to enter the ParaBox facility.
Yes. As long as you don’t terminate the contract, it will be extended automatically by one month.
Termination notice
To cancel your contract, simply notify us before the end of your current rental period. You can do this online or by contacting our customer service team. There are no cancellation fees.
You can cancel at any time, with a notice period of 14 days.
To return the storage unit, it must be completely emptied and swept clean.
If the unit is not emptied, billing will automatically continue even after cancellation. Additionally, if the unit is not cleaned or emptied as required, extra charges may apply.
Insurance
Yes, in addition to your liability insurance (RC), you are insured directly through ParaBox. This fee includes a supplementary insurance coverage provided under ParaBox’s contract with a Swiss-licensed insurer, offering limited compensation for damaged goods and valuables, depending on the circumstances. By contracting with ParaBox, you also certify that you hold civil liability insurance (RC) as well as comprehensive insurance covering risks such as fire, explosion, water damage, theft, natural disasters, and any other damages that may affect stored goods, third-party belongings, or ParaBox infrastructures. These insurance policies must be maintained throughout the contract duration. ParaBox strongly recommends that you communicate the value of stored items to your insurer to ensure adequate coverage in case of an incident.
The cost of insurance depends on the value of the items you’re storing. When booking, we will offer different insurance options tailored to your needs. We recommend that you declare the value of your goods as accurately as possible and avoid underestimating it. Otherwise, you may risk being undercompensated in the event of damage.
Usage
You can store almost anything, from furniture and boxes to sports equipment and personal items. However, for safety reasons, some items are prohibited.
It is strictly prohibited to store any perishable, odorous, dangerous, toxic, flammable, explosive, radioactive, corrosive, volatile items, or those that cause inconvenience to neighboring clients, such as ammunition, dead or living animals, plants, paint, aerosols, tires, and any items that require regulated storage conditions or whose possession is prohibited by law.
Our facilities and storage units are equipped with video surveillance and alarm systems. Our warehouse adheres to the latest fire safety standards.
