Moving Checklist
8 to 6 Weeks Before the Move
- Start Sorting Your Belongings: Decide what you want to keep, sell, donate, or recycle. For items you’re unsure about or don’t need immediately, consider a self-storage space.
- Get Moving Quotes: Compare services and book your movers in advance.
- Notify Your Landlord or Property Manager of Your Departure, if Necessary.
- Reserve a Storage Space: If you need temporary storage for your belongings, contact us to book your self-storage unit.
Prepare an Inventory of Items to Move or Store.
- 6 to 4 Weeks Before the Move
- Handle Administrative Formalities: Plan for the cancellation and transfer of your subscriptions (electricity, water, internet, etc.).
- Order Packing Supplies: Purchase boxes of various sizes, tape, bubble wrap, and markers for labeling.

- Notify Administration of Your Change of Address: Inform the postal service for mail forwarding, the cantonal population office, and your local automobile service.
